How pretty! Is that Bambi's family? Those are great shots you got there!

Knowing the way you are down there, I am shocked that he is not already part of a stew with his head hanging on your wall! LMFAO!!!!!

That camera is awesome, I should get one for around here. Those pics are great.

darsden said...

Heidi-it is wonderful best thing I purchase for outside. It is a Moultrie 4.0 camera. Love IT, even bought my pop one for him to use. Takes awesome shots.

Love the deer shots. When my dad retired, he moved to N. CA and there were a lot of deer around. I used to love hanging by a window and watching them outside. He left salt licks in his yard for them.

Otin and Jane are cracking me up.

darsden said...

PHST-yes, my babies get a cut up apple a night and salt licks and mineral licks and buck ola molasses pellets, sweet apple corn, and about 5 different vitamin mixes..YEP buck poor around these part, bird poor too, Rudey poor too, LOL these are my kids!

Awww, you must be quite the operative to get shots like that without spooking them. National Geographic could use you. :-)

darsden said...

Smart Mouth Broad-I sure am with my night vision camera...LOL

Joanna Jenkins said...

Very cool. It looks like these guys hung around for a while for you to get some good pictures!
Thanks!

Holy moly! We don't have so many of those in Chicago!

blognut said...

That's awesome! I saw five deer out in the woods the other day, but all I had with me was my crap camera on my phone and the deer pictures ended up looking like ink blots.

darsden said...

Joanna Jenkins-I go out every evening and call them to dinner and they come.

Nap Warden-Chicagoland is probably a lil busy for them..LOL they don't care for all that traffic.

blognut-thank you..least you tried! I will have 5 or 6 sleeping in my yard soon when it gets cool.

They look to say, "What's that clicking sound? And why does that light keep flashing? I don't hear any thunder." tee hee
They are beautiful.
I really need to get me one of those cameras. So I can see just what goes on around here at night.

darsden said...

Becky-LOL I bet they are and saying hey we want more apples. YES, you need one bad out there on the farm you would love it so would the captain.

Darsden: Wonderful shots of the deer in your area.

It's Bambi and Thumper! :)

OK, you always have awesome pictures on your blog, but these are MY FAVORITE. Because deer have been my favorite animal forever, so I have a big collection of them. Not live ones, though. ;) My sister was a year older than me and chose horses as her favorite animal - told me I couldn't pick horses as my favorite because she's older and she gets to have first pick. So I chose deer because in my child mind they were 'close enough' to horses. But over the years I've been happy with that 'forced' choice because my collection is awesome. And unique. Like me. :D

darsden said...

Fishing Guy- thank you very much, so were yours.

Stacy-LOL, yes I love my deer big time. Get very upset when I see somebody has a baby hanging on the wall, there is NO call for that. Hunting and killing is NOT a sport. Not in my world anyway!

Margo said...

this is not a yard. It is a Disney movie. How cool is that?

darsden said...

Margo-LOL, it is super cool thank you.

The one thing I love about now living in Texas is I get to see deer. There were no deer roaming amongst the French Quarters. :)

Mike said...

Muuuuuaaaahhhhh! lol!

darsden said...

Tabitha-Yes, I have never seen deer in the French Quarter either..LOL I am glad you get to see them in Texas!

darsden said...

Otin-I gotcha Muah...LOL xoxo

Liz Mays said...

Does your deer camera activate with movement? That is the coolest thing!

darsden said...

blueviolet-yes ma'am it is motion activated and I love it. YOU would be surprised all I catch on it..INcluding a perv that was hiding in the bushes out here! NO joke...gotcha!
