Crawdads aren't for eatin', they're strictly catch and release. Bleck!!!

They're right in the grass like that? That is actually really cool. At least to me.

Now that's a "delicacy" I've never tried, but I love escargot; does that count?

I didn't realize they live right in the ground like that, I always thought they were like shrimp and lived in water...pretty cool 'mud huts' for sure!

Yeah, right! There is NO way I'd put that shit in my mouth! No way!

They suck the heads? They boil the crawdaddy and then suck it's head off.

Am I the only one that thinks that is the most disgusting thing I have ever heard of?

Where's Braja? I am starting to think she's right about that whole vegetarian thing.

I'm wondering. Do Lobsters who look like giant crawfish or crawdaddy's live in mud huts under the sea?

darsden said...

Otin-I bet you do like them!

Reddirt Woman-Yea dat wha I'm talkin about...she know

Blognut yep pretty gross in my book too. My 5 year old nephew sucks the heads..so does emoree. They been around cajun pop too long!

Michel-pottery pot..bawhahaha that is hilarious! I do ...step way back... just watch.

Lilly-they say it's like shrimp, but I don't eat that either!

Pastor Sharon-Yes, they do look similar..google them there are some uncooked ones to look at, they are the smaller ones. And not mud huts under the sea But I hear you can get a Fancy sponge down under there!

Oh, my...

We have crayfish (same thing, right?) up here but they don't get much bigger than a finger. Karen and I used to hunt for them in cricks. But I have NEVER seen the little mud huts!

Ooooh. Something new to think about!!

Pearl-yes the same thing I would guess. Not all of them build the fancy mud huts. Some just live in the creeks and ditches and swamps of louisiana..then dat do are bayou bugs ;-)

But I am impressed by house the dig and move all that dirt...in the mouth and out the ... well they use their tails a lot too!
