Mother's Day was a great day. My sister came over around 9 am and we had coffee and cake with Mom. Then that afternoon my brother and his family drove down (3hours) to surprise her! So she had a wonderful day with seeing all three of her kids. I had been waiting to give Mom, her drawing from Rick and it was a hoot watching her unveil it. wondering what in the world

The whole post is priceless. What an amazing job Rick did... I just love that man. Besides the fact that he's a pretty darn good artist, he is so creative with how he manages to imbue his doodles with the personality of his subjects.
And your mom... wow. What a beautiful lady and I love that she knows how to throw her head back and have a good laugh. She looks like she really enjoys her children, her surprises and life.
Thank you Dar, for sharing her surprise and joy at your very thoughtful Mother's Day surprise. I am in awe that you managed to wait to give it to her. You must have been dancing with anticipation.
