Thunder Rolls

We have really had some awesome skies in Mississippi lately
Usually means storms are coming I see faces peeking through keeping watch
This is when Rudey starts to go crazydar goes crazy with her camera-drugs poor Rudey
fireball peeking through
the sun barely hanging on
Silence is not this night

We've just recently started drugging Pixie when it storms. She about shakes herself out of her coat. Poor baby.

Great sky pics, dar. You've really got an eye for beauty.

Smart Mouth Broad-I am so sorry to hear about Pixie. It is so sad to watch them shake and walk around trying to find places to hide. If I am able I will drug Rudey in time to knock her out but they come in so fast sometimes I don't know till I hear the thunder then it's too late. I also will go and put her on my bed under the covers and lay down with her sometimes it helps..sometimes I am just too late. I hate it for her. These new drugs really affect her and I don't like that but what else can I do.

Thank you I just love taking the shots of the skies for some reason...!

Huh, I never thought to drug my dog during a thunder storm. But I might just look into that. She's okay if I sit still and she can lay on my feet, but any time I move she starts to shake. I think she thinks I'm going 'out there' to get struck by lightening. Poor thing.

Thanks for the idea : )

darsden said...

Tabitha-thank you, you are too kind love ya more!

A mom on Spin-yes, she is out again due to today weather! *Sigh*

Reddirt woman-great I can't wait to see yours and thank you.

Otin-thank you very much, wish I could write as well as I can push that button down!

powdergirl-I went to my vet several times. I don't like drugging her, but her reactions to the storms that just started this summer is just too cruel not to do something for her.

Purdy pictures! So, do the drugs work? Maybe I need some for Ms. Poopy.

darsden said...

Beth-thank you, I had to tweak the dosage down some for Rudey half was just too much she couldn't move and her eyes were bleeding they were so red. So, I take the half and half it two more time..and it makes her to were she just sleeps (if given in time that is the key) but if she here's the thunder it's too late.. or if she goes outside and smells it coming.. I can tell and have time to treat her..but it knocks her out for a few hours! Strong stuff from the vet this time she is on Acepromazine.

We've had nothing but blue skies and big white puffy clouds. No rain here. But I hear we may be getting some soon.
Give Rudey dog an extra treat. She's had a rough night.

Great pictures! I'm with you, I love pictures of the sky :) Storms are the best! I feel bad for the dogs that go nuts, they just don't know what is going on except that everything sounds like it's exploding around them. :(
