It's Raining, It's Pouring, dar is dancing :-))

Yay we finally have broken the over the month without rain period! We had us a nice gully washer today we had 2 inches come down in 30 minutes. I knew when it blew it was going to be a good one. It was, totally with terrifing lightening! It hit something really close will have to look for that damage tomorrow. The grass is actually green looking again. YeeHaw! Would have loved it to have lasted all night, but hey so happy for what we did get. It even smells better outside!
Lovely puddles in the yard
all the dead grass has now was into the mole hole carport...but that is totally okay by me :-)

Happy rainy day, Dar! There's nothing like a good storm; especially when it is overdue!

And HEY! I'm totally first! Where's Michel? Do you think she's drunk again? Or is she writing up another post to bitch about how hot it is in Sudan? :)

For blognut - It is 5 am in Sudan and 88 degrees :-) Poor Michel is sleeping and dreaming about US cheesecake.

Darsden - I am so excited that it rained for you. I had been wondering where your yard photos went. We have our bumper crop of perennials out right now in Ohio. I hope you get even more rain this week.

Hit40-LOL you really do stalk her...yes it has been very refreshing!

otin-doesn't take a southern woman much to be happy now child you should know that! That was an excellent response though!!!

I have Sudan's time and temperature bookmarked. I am just fascinated about her all the way in Africa. I think/pray about her safety almost every day.

Looks like a chunk floater for sure, not quite enough to be called a toad strangler though. That takes 4 or 5 inches in a half hour. I can't believe I'm saying this after all the bitching I did this spring about growing webs between my toes, but I'd sure like to get some rain to break the heat. When you said something about getting 2 inches... made me think about Ron the Roofer.... from way back when I was a wild child. He thought he was great. I sure wasn't a size queen back in the day, but those little dicks can poke you to damn death.

I learned my lesson from that experience though. Made me realize what was really important to my happiness... and it wasn't 2 inchers.

We've had so much rain and it's back tomorrow AND our temps are in the 60's-70's for the week. What the hell is going on? I'll be dropping my daughter off at camp on Wednesday with zillions of layers of clothes just to make sure she doesn't freeze. And, oh, yeah, she has CIRCULATORY issues. So, dammit, Michigan climate, warm up a bit!

Whoa! Rain! It is always something that we hope for especially when the landscape (grass) started to become yellow. Hihihi!

OMGosh. . . Darsden, I am loving that you got all that rain. . . however, I have tears rolling down my face about Helen's (REddirt Woman's) wilder days!
Is she not hilarious or what?
