Geaux Get Your Read On!
Things that come into my mind and are looking for a way out. Sometimes they get trapped...Sometimes Ya just Got to Snap a Picture of It. So I am a Snapper Not a Writer. If I do write Remember I am from the South so it takes me a while to tell a story...southern drawal an all... ..
I noticed around 6:00 pm Odette was going to be blooming tonight. Odette was a friend of my moms who passed away a few years ago from cancer. Mom, on one of the visits over to Odette's asked if she could pinch a piece of her night orchid off and try to grow one. Well, my mother had an unbelievable green thumb. That one lil piece has multiplied by many and even passed on many plants to others. So, here is an Ode to Odette, gone but never forgotten, her beauty lives on. We enjoy it several times a year. The last time was in April when I highlighter. She only blooms late at night. So, I stayed my butt up last night to capture this for ya'll...enjoy!
the above stage reminds me of LiL shop of horrors.. Feed Me Seymour
one of my favorites the swirl of the center..blow it up and enjoy it
I wish ya'll could smell it, it is just as divine as a magnolia
except it smells the whole area up you know it is blooming when you step outside

Pop decided the drive way was getting dangerous from the roots uplifting the concrete section of the drive way. Some areas were raised more than 2 inches so he decide to have them redone. OMGosh the mess it has cause. We won't even discuss what the concrete dust by being sawed up caused to my pool...nope not going there...gonna let that one go.. okay I am trying to let go!! Not even going to mention I had just drained it and just finish filling it the day they showed up!!
They tore up 10 sections of the flight line out here. No, problem right..wrong...I have been picking up rocks and lil bits of concrete now for a week by the bucket fulls...They are great for taking out all the windows in the house and all the cars...when the tractor or lawn mower hit them. Also for killing anything out there alive being hit by the flying chunks. These rednecks couldn't pour the rocks where they were needed miss the places all together and dumped them all over the grass... I hope I NEVER see these dumbasses again. Sloppy Sloppy work!!! You would think with a hole this big they would be able to hit it with the rocks...NOPE not at all!
So, needless to say this is how I will spend the rest of my life...picking up rocks and chunks of concrete and hiding cars behind the buildings trying to protect the windows on mow day. Yes, today was mow day. Every other week is mow day...I will always be moving and picking!
I would have welcomed the dangerous flight line instead of dealing with what these yahoos did!!
