Prep Me Babe'

Good Morning, What a wonderful day we had yesterday. It was absolutely beautiful. However I am extremely dead and I have soooo much cleaning up the 16 acres left yet to do. So, to start how about I start with just the preps I did for the day. ..hell like you have a choice ;-)

Well I was in charge of the punch. But you know I am not going to do just any ole punch. My punch is going to punch you back...but, only if you want it too. I always keep my homies in mind...my geriatric friends, so if you want a punch back...you have to give it a punch first. Oh, yes, that would be my pimp glass right there...fix'in to go for a test run.

Can you smell all 10 dozen cookies cooking? I had oatmeal raisin pecan, oatmeal pecan and oatmeal almond. I have about 8 cookies left if anybody would like one.

Here is the making of my "special request" chicken salad. I made about, well that is a Cuisinart 30 quart stock pot. It was about a quarter from the top. Uhmmm got about enough for 2 or 3 sammichces (sandwiches) left ... any takers.

Yes, we have been here before huh!. Well, you gotta go through it one more time. Hell, I did! Getting the cold cherries a lil drained and started chopping my pecans.

Pimp glass..rolling with Water..HaHa to much to do to start knocking them back now. I just really wanted you all to see how pretty my purple pimp glass was. My buddy and family member Jennifer got that for me. Said it was jus soooo me. She was right and very sweet for getting that for me and I use it every special occasion...or daily which ever comes first. This is the starting of the assembly line. I made approximately 250 cherries. I don't see any of those boogers hanging around. I see a lot of stems... I see a lot of stems with knots in them....but that is a whole nother story.

That's all I got right now...except for this lil Omaha girl crashed out in my bed...Hey she couldn't drive...she punched herself out. LOL... somebody had to take care of the bride's maid. The damn bride went off and left her. Fear not she was safe, I raise this lil girl along with my niece. The spring breakers from hell when they came to visit me for spring break in Florida

U want my cherry - WHAT!

So, I was sitting around last night. Admiring my throw back 70's shoes, I picked up last week. I couldn't afford a pair back then or should I say my mother couldn't. I was a mere baby girl... But, this time around I wasn't gonna let them pass me by again. Oh, no way, Yes, I know they are ugly and ugly is an understatement! But, I had No idea how comfortable they are. I may never take them off! Oh, yes, I have the traditional white socks on. I think I own 1 pair of purple and 1 red pair of socks. The other 100 are redneck white :-) I wear white Proudly-Proudly I say!! So, sitting around I developed a sweet tooth. Not your normal I want peanut m&m's sweet tooth. This is I want sumpin special. What could I whip up fast and not make a lot of fuss about it. Fast being the most important word there. But even more important, what the heck do I have on hand. Well,(hearing lil voices calling) those (lil devils) "cherries" have been starring at me for couple of weeks now...it can even be traced back to last girlie night with derfina...I caught her (she didn't know) *starrie eyed* in a gaze lovingly looking at my "cherries" LOL!!! (oh, you gotta ask her directly on that one) no seriously you have to ask her. No, this story is about me...LOL Okay back to my not normal sweet tooth. I had not really planned anything yet with those cherries so let me do sumpin special with them. I pulled out the ingredients I would need, more important ingredients that I had on hand. Then I started to work. Let me just show you some pictures of the process. I have to say it took absolutely no time to prepare and was really pleased with how well it turned out. It took even less time to make them disappear. I did share with the folks and they were in heaven. They had just finished dinner so the desert was just on time. I still have several left, because they really are sweet! Can't eat too many of these you would end up with a tummie ache big time. (Seriously-Stop already go ask derfina yourself!!)

This was done very small scale, I am thinking next time I will use better dishes, and work a lot faster with the melted chocolate. Of course it was 55 degrees in my house last night as I was making these. You all know I don't use heat, can't stand it. So, No wonder the chocolate chilled so fast! This was the "fast" sweet tooth satisfier I was looking for.

I don't think the stems are as looong as they uusse to be...dunno have to consult with derfina!!!

I have to say they really turned out yummie for my special tooth request

I have a very special occasion coming up in March this will be on the menu for sure. I can't wait to go shopping today for different nuts and sprinkles for them. I want to see what else I can come up with. Do a little test drive and get my technique down. Don't forget to go poke derfina about her lovingly looking at my cherries...do it...lol ,yes, I said do it...
